The Grovedale Tigers Football Netball Club wishes to advise our members, players, supporters and the wider community concerning a recent incident involving the behaviour of one of our junior coaches.
We would like to make it clear that we do not tolerate or condone abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour of any kind toward any player, coach, umpire, volunteer or spectator.
Such conduct is inconsistent with the values of respect, inclusion, sportsmanship and community that underpin our club. These are values we expect all officials, players, parents, supporters and volunteers to uphold at all times.
We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone involved at our club and the wider sporting community.
We will be undertaking further education and training around respectful behaviour, communication and conduct to ensure all members understand the standards expected moving forward.
The welfare and support of everyone involved remains our priority and we will continue to provide appropriate support throughout this process.
We thank our members and the community for their patience and cooperation while this matter is being addressed and look forward to working together to ensure community sport remains a positive, enjoyable and safe experience for all.

Itโs National Volunteer Week and weโre sending a massive thank you to our incredible Tiger volunteers who generously give their time, energy and passion to support our club ๐๐ค
This yearโs theme is โYour Year to Volunteerโ and itโs a great reminder that thereโs never been a better time to get involved and be part of our Tiger community.
We are always looking for helping hands.
You donโt need experience and you donโt need to commit every week.
This could be your year to volunteer.
Reach out, weโd love to hear from you ๐ฏ

Our club agrees that Better Behaviour Matters.
On the field or court, in the coaches box, and along every sideline, weโre committed to setting the standard for respect, encouragement, and positive support in community sport.
We ask all our players, coaches, officials, and supporters to lead by example.
Celebrate effort, respect decisions, and remember the impact our words and actions reflect on our club and community.
Together we have a responsibility to ensure our club is a warm and welcoming environment that calls out and doesnโt accept bad behaviour.
